Photography - Fotografie This page represent a small section of typically what my work looks like. For further information please contact me. Dit
blad vertegenwoordigt een klein deel van mijn beeldhouwwerk. Voor
meer informatie neem gerust contact op met mij. It was probably the binding factor in my creative life. I bought my first camera a fairly advanced model Kodak instamatic when I was 12 years old. My first camera gave me another view to what was happening around us. Suddenly I could segment and frame things in a way I saw them and freeze that moment in time. Not that my photo’s were so good to start with, it helped me in looking around and in another way to see things in plain view, most of us are blind to. During the years I learned more about the technical aspects of photography and all related subjects giving me more opportunities to catch my view with more accuracy and hence giving me more pleasure. I still use my camera (not an instamatic anymore) with regularity and occasionally for artistic expression. It was very difficult to select a couple of photographs from the many tens of thousands I’ve made to give an accurate impression. My only accurate choice I suspect would be to give an impression of work made in the last couple of years, indicating what my cumulative skills and unique view as a photographer represents. was hoogstwaarschijnlijk de bindende factor in mijn creatieve
en artistieke leven. Op mijn 12de kocht ik een vrij geavanceerde
Kodak instamatic die mij een andere kijk op de wereld gaf . Ik
kon ineens mijn omgeving inlijsten en bevriezen in tijd zoals
ik het zag. In het begin waren mijn foto's niet echt goed, maar
het hielp mij dingen te zien die gewoon open en bloot aanwezig
waren, maar waar de meesten van ons blind voor zijn. Gaande weg
leerde ik meer technieken en andere aspecten van het fotograferen
die mij in staat stelde meer accuraat mijn kijk op de wereld vast
te leggen. Tegenwoordig gebruik ik mijn kamera (geen instamatic
meer) geregeld en soms voor mijn artistieke expressie. Het was
daarom ook zeer moeilijk een keuze te maken uit de tienduizenden
foto's die ik door de jaren heen gemaakt heb. Meestal kies ik
voor de foto's die ik gemaakt heb van de laatste paar jaar. Dit
geeft een indicatie over de jaren heen verzamelde vaardigheden
en unieke kijk die ik als kunstenaar heb.
